Stone in general is a very strong material, but it is very easily breakable as well. And over time it can get affected by harsh environmental conditions, and air pollution which cause discoloration of the surface. Stains, scratches, rust from deteriorated supports and breakage from mishandling can affect most stone objects.
We restore pieces made of marble, alabaster, soapstone, jade, quartz, and malachite. Each stone has a unique surface, texture, and patina characteristics. Matching restored areas to the original surface is often a complex process, especially when trying to recreate transparency and depth of the material.
